Spiced Iced Coffee
1/2 c Granulated Sugar
3 tbsp Instant Coffee Grounds
4 c Warm Water
4 c Ice Cubes
1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon
1/8 tsp Ground Allspice
1/2 c Heavy Whipping Cream
Blend water, sugar, coffee grounds, cinnamon and allspice in standard pitcher. Fill ice cubes in 4 glasses. Empty coffee mixture over ice; crown each serving with 2 tablespoons of cream.
Razzi-Peach Smoothie Delite
6 oz plain fat-free yogurt
1 medium peach(es), rutted and sliced, or 1/2 cup frozen sliced peaches, thawed
1/2 cups raspberries, fresh or frozen and thawed
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Put together all ingredients in a blender and puree till it becomes smooth. Toss it down into a tall glass and serve. (Note: For a thicker smoothie, add 1/4 cup of ice cubes before blending.)
1/2 cup Milk (soy milk may be used)
1/2** Banana (peeled & sliced)
1/4 cup Brewed Espresso* (chilled)
1/2 cup Ice (crushed)
Put everything and make a puree in a blender (or food processor).
*In case you don’t have an espresso machine, just use double the normal coffee grounds or trickle the coffee through a drip coffee maker twice using the same coffee grounds.
**For a sweeter smoothie use a whole banana and a teaspoon of sugar.
Quickie Egg Cream
3 tbsp Milk (soy milk may be used)
1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
3 tbsp Chocolate Syrup
1 cup Sparkling Water
Take a 12oz glass, fill it with ice. Stir the chocolate syrup, milk, and vanilla all together. Now slowly add the sparkling water until the glass tops up.
* Use good quality real chocolate syrup to make this drink much better avoid the cheaper artificial flavored brands.
Blueberry & Buttermilk Smoothie
2 tsp Pure Maple Syrup
1/2 cup Blueberries (fresh or frozen)
1 cup Buttermilk
Puree all the 3 ingredients using a blender (or food processor) till it smoothens.
The smoothie makes a great accompanying breakfast drink or a perfect afternoon indulgence.
Quickie Green Tea Smoothie
1 tbsp Honey
1 Kiwi (peeled & sliced)
2 cups Honeydew Melon (chopped)
1 cup Brewed Green Tea (chilled)
1 Banana (peeled & sliced)
Put all of above in a blender (or food processor) excluding the kiwi and puree till smooth. Slit a slice of kiwi so as to garnish the rim of the glass.
*The kiwi may be used in the smoothie, but food processor is recommended instead of a blender as blenders are likely to crush the bitter kiwi seeds and vary the flavor.
